Meet The Team
Angela Jacobs headshot

Angela Jacobs, FNP

Nurse Practitioner

Angela Jacobs is a family nurse practitioner who builds meaningful relationships with each patient, taking time to truly listen and ensure they feel seen and supported. With a functional-medicine focus, she treats the root causes of health challenges rather than simply managing symptoms. Her approach centers on three foundational pillars of health—endocrine function, gut health, and muscular vitality—working together to restore wellness and prevent disease. Whether you’re navigating a complex health condition, pursuing peak athletic performance, or seeking to optimize your wellness and longevity, Angela is dedicated to helping you thrive through personalized, evidence-based care.
Mandy Lund headshot

Mandy

RN GI Educator

Mandy Lund is an RN GI Educator at Red Compass Health—and she knows what it’s like to search for answers. After struggling with autoimmunity for years and cycling through doctors with every military move, she finally found relief through functional medicine. That discovery lit a fire in her to help others find the same healing she experienced.

That journey shapes how she guides her patients. Mandy has helped many reset their gut and decrease systemic inflammation through targeted nutritional programs. She believes knowledge is power—and when patients have the right information, choosing a healthier path becomes easier. Currently expanding her expertise through the Kharrazian Institute’s functional gut program and working toward her FNP at SUU, she’s committed to offering the most current, evidence-based approaches to healing.

Mandy and her husband Erick have been married over 20 years and have three amazing teenagers who are the center of their world. Their years as a military family—living across the U.S. and in Germany—gave her a unique perspective on healthcare and a love of adventure. They look forward to their yearly trip to the Tetons, soaking in nature’s beauty. Mandy is also a lover of food (the healthy kind) and has discovered the transformative power of resistance training.

Andrew Nickerl headshot

Andrew

Health Coach

Andrew Nickerl is a Health Coach at Red Compass Health—and he’s been where many of our patients are starting. A husband, father, and US Marine veteran, he and his wife have built a lifestyle of health and fitness that’s contagious in their household; their daughter already asks when she’ll be old enough to start lifting weights.

Andrew’s journey is deeply personal. After years of battling obesity and the frustrating cycle of yo-yo dieting, he’s discovered what actually works: sustainable habits. He’s completely transformed—going from his highest weight to now building a competition-ready physique as he prepares for the bodybuilding stage. That hard-won experience fuels his ability to meet patients exactly where they are.

A graduate of J3 University’s Level 1: Physique Essentials course, Andrew specializes in physique transformation outcomes, bringing expertise in hypertrophy training, evidence-based fat loss and nutrition, and peptide and physique enhancement protocols. Whether you’re picking up your first dumbbell or preparing for a bodybuilding stage, he can guide you there. Andrew doesn’t just coach; he equips patients to transform for good.

Shandra Nickerl headshot

Shandra

Health Coach

Shandra Nickerl is a Health Coach at Red Compass Health—and like her husband Andrew, she knows firsthand what it takes to transform. After struggling with PCOS, infertility, and years of feeling like her body was working against her, she’s lost 100 pounds and transformed her physique through sustainable habits and resistance training. She understands the fear and self-doubt it takes to push past—and fight for your health anyway.

That journey shapes how she coaches. Patients value her thoughtful, connected approach—she programs individualized nutrition and fitness strategies, but also helps them understand the psychology behind the barriers that have held them back and how to finally break through. Currently advancing her expertise through J3 University’s Female Module, she brings specialized understanding of women’s unique physiological needs to her work.

Through it all, her husband and daughter come first. Lucy is the light of their lives—their miracle baby and the reason health and fitness are a way of life for their family. Shandra brings that same heart to every patient.
